9 French lessons with Timothee Chalamet speaking French

Is Timothee Chalamet French?
Yes. Timothee Chalamet’s father is a French man. For this reason, Timothee Chalamet has French citizenship and learned French as a child. He also spent time in France with his grand-parents, which gave him more opportunity to speak French in his childhood. However, Timothee Chalamet’s mother is American and he spent most of his time growing up in New York, USA. For this reason, he can speak English more fluently than he speaks French. This is often the case for bicultural children.
Also, he had many more opportunities to practice as a child than he does as an adult, which makes me say in the first lesson that “Timothee Chalamet speaks French like a child”. This isn’t a criticism, but an observation of how his lived experience is reflected in his French speaking ability.
